  • How does Legacy Academy function?

    Legacy Academy functions as a homeschool tutorial.

    We combine the rigorous academic development of a private school with the biblical focus and flexibility of a homeschool.

  • What is a Homeschool Tutorial?

    A tutorial model is one in which homeschool families send students to receive supplemental education in core-curriculum subjects such as Math, English/Language Arts, Science, History, and Social Studies. Think; a core-curriculum ‘tutor.’

    Often times, tutorials function much like a private school in operations and structure.

  • How does Legacy Academy help Homeschool Families?

    We’ve taken away all difficulty in homeschooling, freeing up families to choose great educational experiences for themselves.

    choose and teach the curriculum. We develop engaging, challenging lessons. We track homework, grades, transcripts, and attendance for homeschool families. We also prepare students for taking their required TN state standardized tests(TCAP) by teaching the TN educational standards.

  • What is my part as a homeschool parent?

    1) Fill out an Intent to Homeschool form and turn it in to your local school district’s homeschool coordinator.

    2) Communicate attendance to your local district’s homeschool coordinator at the end of the year.

    These documents can be found on the TN Department of Education’s Home School website but we’ll provide you with succinct steps along the way.

  • What are Enrollment Requirements?

    We partner with parents who desire a biblical worldview for themselves and their children. We love the Word of God and how it edifies us in the ways of the Lord. We welcome families to join Legacy Academy who share in the deep desire to bring their child up in the training of the Lord. Eph. 6:4
